It shows its age today, graphically, and the tradeoff of recreating a huge ship but only being able to render a handful of NPCs is its most obvious flaw. The characters are photographed actors that provide a sense of realism at first glance, but, when animated, can look jaunting and strange. If you're able to look past these shortcomings, there's a great story here full of memorable characters, twists and turns. With multiple outcomes, there's great replayability. While great characters are the games strong suit, the puzzles are often lacking in depth, but they are organic, usually fun, and aren't frusteratingly difficult.. Still a great adventure game, wish they had updated some aspects like the save system, making it fullscreen or fix some blurry visuals, but overall this game is awesome. Awesome classic. However there are some bugs and issues in this modern digital version that were not present in the CD version. sometimes moving between areas can cause the game to crash. So save often. While the visuals do show their age, and navigation is old skool where you click to where you want to go to, then your character moves. However there is a lot of titanic to explore. in fact pretty much most of the ship. Puzzles wise some are quite challenging, especially as the game has multiple endings. So if you want to get the 'best' ending you will need to have your thinking cap on for sure. There is even an atttempt at adding some action to the game with fight sequnces. They are not so good, but at least it shows some imagination on behalf of the developers. And finally there is the voice acting. You will meet many quite memorable characters in this game, and the voice acting fits them down to a tee and is very well done. In fact my biggest gripe is the terrible soundtrack, an absolute dirge. luckily you can turn the volume down and I recommend you do. If your after a challenging P&C then this game is for you. If your just interested in the Titanic, then still get it as there is a free roam mode to explore all over the ship.. I remember playing this game all the time when I was a kid. The experience feels so authentic and the characters are so memorable that you'll forget you're playing a game.
